  1. Launch PowerPoint 2010 for Windows. Most of the time, PowerPoint already has a new slide. Modify the layout of this slide to Title and Content by selecting the Home tab | Layout | Title and Content option. This results in the slide layout y'all run into in Effigy 1.
  2. Observe that this layout has a Content placeholder that lets you lot add bulleted text or any of the 6 different content types in the slide.   3. Tip: A Content placeholder is a flexible placeholder on your slide that lets you add text, pictures, or whatever other content types. A Picture show placeholder, on the other hand, lets you lot add just a picture. We apply the Content placeholder in this tutorial.

  5. Alternatively, if you want to add a motion-picture show on an existing slide that has no Content placeholder, you lot tin can select the Insert tab of the Ribbon, and click the Clip Art button (highlighted in reddish inside Effigy 2).

  7. Note: The Clip Art push button (highlighted in scarlet within Effigy 2) is a toggle option. Click it in one case to summon the Prune Fine art Task Pane (highlighted in scarlet within Effigy iii). Click once again, and it closes the same Task Pane.

  8. Either style, you lot volition summon the Clip Art Task Pane, as shown highlighted in crimson within Effigy 3.

  10. Within the Clip Art Job Pane, enter your search keyword(s) in the Search for box (highlighted in red within Figure 4). Then click the Go button (highlighted in blue inside Effigy four) to retrieve your search results, every bit shown in Figure 4. Remember that yous must exist connected online for this to work!
